PIGLET WHITE KNUCKLES
One of a kind songwriter, musician and producer piglet, announces his deeply personal new EP for frank forever with the masterful 'white knuckles'. Opening to melancholy layers of lo-fi synths, piglet's vulnerable lyricism squeezes through watery vocal effects before the beat drops. Accomplished pop melodies hold your hand through the uncanniness of the soundscape as piglet lays his personal experiences bare, working through the difficulties of a one-sided relationship that ultimately becomes damaging, as he affirms: 'it's not up for discussion, no more white knuckles over nothing, I've got to step out of your life, cos you don't care about mine.' Channeling a painful time into something beautiful and uplifting is truly one of piglet's greatest gift to the world, as is to be expected of the rest of the forthcoming EP. Explained best in his own words, "for frank forever is about mutual aid, systemic failure, the joys and pains of community organizing, pathologization and dehumanization, community self-defence, delicious pints, substance abuse, direct action, die-hard anti-capitalism, working it out as you go along, deep friendship, family in all its forms, and lots of other stuff which doesn’t fit well into a list format. its very serious and its not at all – its just what life felt like to me at the time. i hope you recognise yourself in it somewhere."
